, also known as Stone Plastic Composite, is a composite material composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and stone powder (usually limestone powder). It not only has an appearance and feel similar to wooden flooring, but also excels in durability, environmental friendliness, waterproofing, moisture resistance, and slip resistance. This article will provide a detailed introduction to the use and installation process of SPC flooring, helping you better understand and utilize this high-quality flooring material.
Next, we will explain in detail the installation steps of SPC flooring to ensure that you can successfully complete the laying of SPC flooring.
1. Ground treatment: Ensure that the ground is flat, dry, clean, and free of debris and gravel. The height difference of the ground should not exceed 3 millimeters every 2 meters. If there is any unevenness, it needs to be polished or filled.
2. Temperature adaptation: Before installation, leave the floor indoors for at least 3 days to adapt to the new environment. The indoor temperature should be controlled between 18 ℃ and 29 ℃, avoiding direct sunlight and significant temperature changes.
3. Measurement and Calculation: Calculate the required number of floors based on the room area and reserve a 5% loss rate.

Laying moisture-proof film (plastic film)
Before laying SPC flooring, a layer of moisture-proof film should be laid on the ground to enhance the moisture resistance of the flooring. The moisture-proof film should be selected with a thickness of 2.0 millimeters or more, and the alignment between films should not overlap. The interface should be sealed with waterproof adhesive tape, leaving a 5 centimeter margin around the wall. If the ground is solid wood skirting board, the wall should be raised by more than 50 millimeters (preferably at the same height as the skirting board).

Before formal laying, pre lay the floor and arrange it according to texture and color to ensure a beautiful laying effect. Select floors with large color differences or messy textures and lay them under the bed or in inconspicuous areas.

1. First row flooring: Install the first row flooring from the side of the room near the door. To prevent natural expansion of the floor, a 4-10mm expansion joint should be reserved between the wall and the floor. Place the tongue on one side facing outward and add a dedicated pad (which should be removed after installation).
2. Installation method: Adopt the installation method of "first long, then short, first press, then push". First, fully press the male groove into the female groove, and insert the long edge of the floor at a 45℃angle from the outside to the inside; Next, fully press the short side male groove into the female groove and use the same method to insert diagonally inward.
3. Subsequent rows: When installing the second row of flooring, insert the short side tenon into the groove of the previous row of flooring, and gently insert the long side tenon into the corresponding floor groove. Rubber hammers can be used to assist in paving when there are gaps.
4. Irregular processing: Irregular areas such as room door frames need to be carefully processed, marked first and then cut.
When installing the last row of flooring, pay special attention to the finishing process. Consult the user regarding whether to use scraps or cut whole boards for splicing, and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each method. After installation, walk around and inspect the floor to ensure it is not loose, feels loose, and makes no unusual noises when stepped on.
Installing the trim strip is the final step in flooring. First, confirm the strip's installation location and measure its dimensions. Ensure the strip is installed perpendicular to the door frame, screws are tightened, and the strip is secure without any noise. Ensure a secure, aesthetically pleasing bond.
